Morning. SUNNY!!!!! and warm. Off to the lake to take pictures and plant some shrubs and etc before it starts back raining [Sunday and Monday]. Might get on top of Ranger barn and do some caulking and put on a ridge cap [metal was just bent over]. Have a tiny leak at the roof crest. Bought some ridge cap from Lowes and it is already up there. Wanted someone with me in case I slide off the roof [which I doubt]. Also good to have someone steady ladder when getting back off the roof. Wifey is on the

Got back from lake house. Ridgecap screwed down to Ranger Barn. Was no problem. Hardest thing was staying over the 2X4's under the metal roof so my fat body did not dent roof. Had a 2010 Census meeting at 4 PM [who calls a meeting at 4 PM on Fridays?] with Feds. Took photos of lake. It had dropped a foot. Now I am going to post photos of Oct level [some may have missed them] and then approximately the same area taken today. This water came up in 4 days. That is a lot of water with over 850 miles
Morning all. Being lazy as have had several long days and nights. Watching WWII in HD on History Channel. Pretty good. Now going to gym to work out. Raining [what is new]. Talked to "lake folks" last night and they said bring camera. Lake is as high as it has ever been in years. No parking sign at ramp is about under water. Might just have to take time and drive up to photo. Got too much on "calendar". Jim T, not familiar with them but they are a NC business so they are great
They are stacking them in. Then we will have a long "dry" period. I'll go through withdrawal. Read the ones I have over and over. Guess it is a long cold snowy winter way up North. The postman can't get the copies out during that time. Bob and Carl have to snowmobile to work. I know that is why there is a period of no CTT.

Cloudy and cool. Suppose to rain. Got meetings this afternoon and one tonight in the Triangle. Means late getting home. Brent, thought that was usual for you [being high]. I understand. Should see the video of the DOT moving sand off of highwy 12 at Hatterass. Sand was higher than the big front end loader. Took a couple of days to clear. Off to the gym and then go pick up Lucy at groomers [I was up at 5:30 AM to get her there on time ] BTW: finger is doing great. did discover that there are 5 stiches
Morning all. Fair and cool but not cold. We have had one light frost and no freeze yet. Off to Dr. to get big bandage off and finger checked. The only good thing about this big bandage is protects the finger. I bet I bag the little bandage and my the finger hurt. Need to service my pickup before the rain comes tonight and tomorrow.
