I'm sorry about the title of the thread. I knew better. Brain phart i guess. How about one of those Chi-com steamers the IAIS has in storage in Newton?
I saw it in the shop after the fall color tour with SP4449. It's all torn down. Will the Friends ship it back in pieces? I think the Friends own most of the rolling stock. It'll be a shame to break up a matched set like that. (261+the MILW Hiawatha cars)
According to the Cannon Falls Beacon, Progressive Rail bought the property of the bankrupt Minnesota Malting Co and they are turning it into a bulk transload facility.
I hear he is also increasing his stake in Park Place and Marvin Gardens.

Looks like we have a 10-car up business train running the old D&RGW route thru CO today. It's due to depart Grand Juction at 1220. Arrive Bond CO 1536, Depart Bond at 1700 & Arrive Denver 2130. But I heard it's snowing today, so who knows if they'll be able to keep up with the plan. If someone scores a good photo, post it here. That would be cool.

Now, unless your company is a named participant in the shipment, you can't see much. I can see the last AEI scanned location. I can guess the origins & destinations sometimes by the locations where they dwell a while.
I trace them from time to time on Steelroads. I beleive I recall a UP biz train running from Lathrop to Colton yard.
Maybe it was staged? They could have had a train run down a lightly used line. That way they could back up & run it by again for however may takes they need to get the shot right without tying up real traffic.
