I'm doing a CoG bunk car for an individual but I can't find any photos of a prototype for a Central of Georgia MOW bunk car. If any one can give me a lead I'd appreciate it. Roger
The person requesting the bunk car doesn't have a photo nor can I find one searching the internet. CoG historical society's photo gallery in majority engines as is most other sites.
Thanks Wayne, I've sent him an e-mail.
Memory Station, Watkinsville, GA. Two loops with sidings.
Is it an older piece? Is the board attached using double backed tape? If so it may be a "Sounds of Steam" unit. These were static generators that somewhat sounded like steam. A problem with these is that the tape dried out and crumbled allowing the board to short out. If your is a SoS first thing to do is insulate the board from the frame, cardboard works. If a new board is needed Lionel no longer has these though I recall seeing mention of someone making repos.
Try CNET http://www.cnet.com/ Its an electronics site that has reviews, etc. on electronic products and comparitive pricing. Also those listed must have good customer reviews to be allowed to be listed. My vid-cam is a Canon ZR85, it has both card and tape. I'm just starting to learn to download and make vids. I need a DVD burner installed into the comp., only had a CD burner.
I was wrong on my guess. Just got into work and measured one, they're 6".
Try a web search. I was curious about the California Zepher and found a site that listed the consists for the different years of service.
A unique idea. Only problem is the lawyers would be all over it. Nitrogen burns are nothing to fool with. Also the availability of liquid nitrogen would be a problem. I'd be hesitant handling liquid nitrogen without the proper safety gear, i.e. gloves, apron. etc., let alone letting a child do it.
