Evening all!!! How time has flown by! I hardly have time to get on the computer anymore! I hope everyone is doing well!! Been snowy then back to warm here. Now we are having some nice fall weather. Last weekend we had a chance to go down to an amusement park in Utah. It was so much fun! I really hated leaving. Also, I know it has been 3 weeks, but I thought I would show you a photo.
Not ruling it out, but I have yet to load a car with Propane or Butane that is not a 33,000 gallon car. I looked up the outage table for UTLX 643344 and it shows it as a 23,000 gallon car. Also, I looked up some photos and found some car numbers fairly close to the cars in question. Neither had the dome on top with the Load, Vapor, and Safety Valves.
Some places may dye their taxed diesel green. Flying J does that.
I deal with these numbers every day at work and still have no clue what they are. On the 33000 gal tank cars that I get brought to me out at Verne Jct, that I load Propane and Butane on, There are these numbers that I have to record off every car. One is most commonly used is 112W340, the other is 102W340. (Don't quote me on the exact number because I cant remember them off the top of my head.) What are the numbers used for?
Good Evening all! Just dropping in for the firs time in a while. Been so busy with work an wedding plans and all, Just a week left! Weather here has been pretty good the past few days. Sunny and in the 80s. We have lucked out and the wind has kept itself down for a while.... Hopefully this holds until the wedding is over! Spent about 3 hours today trackside and noticed that every train that passed had at least 1 SD90/43 on it. I thought UP was phasing those out!
Yep. Those are the right numbers. I had thought that the 340 might have been the pressure. I had been told to keep my pressure near 300 and I know my high pressure switch trips at 315.

[quote user="wjstix"] My wife's chief interest seems to be making a point of telling me how stupid what I'm doing (watching football or baseball, model railroading, bowling, etc.) is, and how stupid I am for doing it. Erin enjoys scrap booking, hanging out with her friends, Halloween, Watching cheesey horror movies, and her full time job of teaching kindergarten.
Yes, there is a small downside. This happened to me just yesterday. I had just began loading a 33000 gal. tank car with Propane and I had about 6500 in it and the railroad showed up to switch us. They normally come on Tuesdays but they had to pick up some covered hoppers in Granger about 8 miles past where I was at Verne Junction. I asked if they could pick the 2 loaded cars up on their way back and they told me no because that part if the Evanston sub was directional and they can only switch my
GO POKES!!!!! They better be ready when Texas comes to town on the 12th of September, win or lose, it is probably the biggest game in UW History...... We prefer a win though...... Oh, and the Cowboys rode the UP line from Laramie.
