Closing down my site

Hello everyone

After over three years and almost 40,000 hits [for which I thank all of you for] I am closing down my website. So if there is anything you want to keep [especially the links] then go get them now and save them for your self.
The only thing I ask is that if you use my articles or videos or pictures etc, is that you give me the credit for them.
Stephen McCallum

Thanks for all who have helped me to grow my website and encouraged me with emails etc.

God bless

And seeing the number of replies it is obviously a good choice.

Be well all.

Re: Closing down my site

Well, I liked the short vid on staining the freshly cut ties, so that's one.
Actually, were you missing some portions? Did you have a link to cutting/sawing the ties in the first place - edited together, that would have made a really nice & useful beginner video - saw and shape ties, stain ties, lay out (pencil mark) the roadbed, and then lay ties and cement the rail down.
Tie that to the stub switch video, and you'd have been golden (still could be, you're not taking down the youtube stuff, just your website - correct?).  BTW, what cement did you use to attach rail to ties? Standard CA? Does that stuff hold up over the long term?

And for goodness sake, edit out your wife/girfriend answering the phone during your stub switch video...

After running a dial up BBS fido-net (pre WWW on-line stuff) for about five years, I know it gets really old after a while trying to keep a good site up an running.  It sucks up tons of time for very little reward. Good luck with whatever you will now have time to persue.

Re: Closing down my site

Thanks, yeah that and the emails for advice and help. A huge time sink. But that is ok. It was fun while it lasted :)

What is your reason to close it?

Re: Closing down my site

 Hi dinwitty

Closing mostly because it is a time sink and not many people go there as before.

Anyhow this is where my articles for model RR are now.
