problem with setting up power districts for dcc

In Mike Polsgrove's book DCC Projects on page 20 he describes how to wire up a miny panel

connected to a Powershield circuit breaker. The wiring diagram does not show the connections to J-11-1 and j-11-2 on the power shield. After I wired all the connections

the power stayed on with the switch on the panel in On or Off. The green Led came on

and then went off. Has any one tried using this circuit. If so is their a updated wiring

diagram showing the connections to track power on remote on the power shield.

I have a NCE system.

If you don't get an answer here, try the NCE group on Yahoo.  http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nce-dcc/   There are some real NCE heavies out there.  I belong to the group and can testify to their expertise.

Re: problem with setting up power districts for dcc

If it's based off an article they published a few years ago, there was some serious overkill in that design. I would go by the diagrams for the Powershield that appear on Tony's site instead, as far as to what terminals to attach a toggle to to provide a remote power on/off and a manual reset (if you really want a manual reset). They also show where to hook LEDs for a remote indication off the board.
