Weekend Photo Fun 11/6 - 11/9

It's Friday morning, so I guess I'll start.

Video - Railfanning West Canaan, NH

You'll see train CDWJ (a Concord, NH - White River Junction, VT manifest) blast through the Main Street railroad crossing behind GP7 #8569, then local turn LEWC (Lebanon, NH - West Canaan, NH) runs around its train and shoves some cars into Delery Pulpwood. Then it heads back out of town towards Lebanon as symbol WCLE (West Canaan to Lebanon)

Video - Railfanning Enfield, NH

We beat WCLE to Enfield where work extra LECN passes it in Ogden Siding. (Yes, this is the same locomotive as on CDWJ...my other GP18 that's assigned to the road freight is in the paint shop so the Lebanon Switcher had to pinch-hit). After LECN is in the clear, we stand in the parking lot of Agrawal Paper to watch CDWJ roll out of Enfield to head back to Lebanon.

Enjoy!

Wow Ty, you were up and at'em early this morning!

Well, here's my contribution for the week......, an Atlas HO scale model of Central of Georgia's #108, an RS-3 leaving the yard.

Tyler, those towns are coming along beautifully!!

Jarrell, that RS3 is nice!

I've done nothing on my layout, except for beginning to tear it down (which I prefer to NOT have photos of), Instead, I have one more prototype shot, which will be the real life version of my HO scale station. I will make it a one platform station (there will only be one track...), although I may extend it (each platform on the prototype holds three cars; I may make mine closer to four).

Great Video's Tyler. Your sound system is sooo much better than QSI or Tsunami. And the boxcars sound realistic too! You must have speakers in every boxcar you own

Jarrell, Scarpia and DRLine some really nice shots, good work with the camera.

Here is a shot taken on the layout last week.

A bit of variation adds some spice to life eh?

Good morning, everybody!. I can see why Tyler opened WPF early today. His videos are outstanding!

ALL other posts so far are really great, too!

A railfan was chasing my fictional Prairie Zephyr yesterday. Here are two of his photos. First is at Valley Heights . Second is at Standing Falls.

It's 1953, and a pair of Alco's finest charge across Casselman Crossing, speeding an eastbound manifest toward Ridgeley Yard.

20 years later, a Laurel Valley coal drag reaches Meyersdale on its way east.

Enjoy a sunny weekend, everyone.. I have to work Saturday...

Just picked up several of Athearn's new SP 77' Pullman coaches.  I found out while running the cars that they have a constant lighting unit and even stay lit for several minutes at a station stop after the track power is turned off.

I think we should change the title to "Everyone's "A" Game WPF"...!!!   Holy smokes!!!  And if I am wrong, then I want to see your "A" Game.

More GG1 images from me.  These show a GG1 being waved through a newly installed double-slip turnout in the Seneca Sub yard.

Jarrell, I note the way you have placed your ballast.  Really good work.  I like the choice of colour, too.  Well done.  Oh, and the engine is very nice, too.  I do like those models.

Re: Weekend Photo Fun 11/6 - 11/9

A couple of Auto Parts Boxcars:

This car is a Robbins Rails car, with the rivits removed, scribed weld lines, changed wheelbase and extended coupler pockets the same as I did with the Wabash Thrall Car. I then decaled the car like a repainted ex-Wabash car in the NW livery after the NS merger. Added a 3 to the Wabash Car number and used Mark Vaughn and Herald King decals to finish the car. This was per an article by Jim Six in the NMRA Bulletin.

Stock Robbins Rails car, estended coupler pockets, Mark Vaugh Decals.

Thanks for Looking

Rick
