OERM Mainlines??

South- How often do they run on it? Is this really the only place where they do leave the OERM muesum area?

North- Is there a North? If not, I'm talking about the line to the Perris Depot (the normal line). What is after the depot as you get farther from the muesum?

Re: OERM Mainlines??

Normally, trains or trolleys only run to the south end on special event days. North of the Perris depot, the line is the BNSF San Jacinto branch to Hemet. An annual trip is made every spring to March Field to visit the air museum there. Sometimes the steam loco,VC2, will run about a mile north of the Perris depot to Nuevo street. Tracks are now being built into the Perris depot,so across the platform connections can be made with Metrolink trains when that service starts in a few years.

Re: OERM Mainlines??

It is a very short run, maybe 1/2 mile at the most.  At one time there was a proposal to run the line south about 2 miles further to a planned picnick site but this never happened.
