Memorial for 2006 derailment victims unveiled
This news story may not be as newsworthy to those praying that E.H. Harrison receives yet more accolades and awards, but recently there was a unveiling of a memorial in Lillooet, British Columbia, for two Canadian National Railways employees who were killed while duty during the summer of 2006. Don Faulkner and Tom Dodd died when a runaway engine and flatcar loaded with lumber derailed northeast of Lillooet on track that was formerly owned by BC Rail but had been criminally awarded to CN by the liberal government of BC.
The media had prior knowledge the day of the unveiling, but unfortunately it appears that only one found the emotional event worth reporting. And that was the Lillooet News.
I'm absolutely disgusted about the apathy shown by the major media outlets. Yet this should come as no surprise since Harrison didn't show his face in Lillooet that day.
