SP 4449 Through Central MN Yesterday

Along with what seemed like hundreds of others, I had the chance to chase the SP 4449 yesterday. My chase started in Detroit Lakes and ended up in Staples. The story and photos of this run are on my blog. It was a great experience, and the turnout was amazing all along the line.

Nice description of your chase.  Do you (or anyone else) know if the unit will remain on BNSF rails or if it will switch to CP rails closer to Milwaukee?  I have heard both and don't know for sure.

The 4449 will spend a week next to MILW 261 and then stay on BNSF rail all the way to Chicago.
