New URL for Dave Vollmer's N Scale PRR Middle Division

All,

For those of you who might visit my N scale PRR page, I have a new URL:

http://thevollmerfamily.com/Pennsy/

I'm planning on expanding the site and don't want to overtax the Keystone Crossings server that hosts the current page.

Dave, doesn't your layout have DCC & Sound?

DCC - yes.  I use Digitrax.

Sound - kinda.  I use sound decoders with speakers mounted under the layout.  Not great, but decent.  Some days I prefer silence anyway.

Dave,

Couldn't resist checking out your layout and watching the films on Youtube. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I am a New York Central man myself. This website and your modelling are the total package. Simply excellent in presentation, historical context, detail  and showmanship. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the website and checked each article and photo. This layout is contest quality if not musuem quality.  Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks, JR!

And I forgive you for being a Central fan...Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]!

The layout itself is really just a "place holder..."  I have grand plans but very little space.  The plan is that in about 8 years I can hopefully retire from the Air Force (assuming I don't get the axe in the 2009 officer cuts)...  At that time I can start a basement-monster.  It's darned hard to capture the scale of something like the Pennsy on a hollow-core door.  I may have hinted at the "feel" of the Pennsy because of the Pennsy-specific detailing, but looking at the layout as a whole, it doesn't really convey a sense of the 4-track "Standard Railroad of the World."

But for now it gives me a place to run my trains as I slowly amass a PRR-specific N scale roster.

Thanks again for visiting!

So what you're giving us basically, Dave is: My URL is <name>.

There's a TV series in there somewhere. Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]
