Re: My wife is the greatest wife ever!!!

Be carefull very carefull, and maybe a bit afraid too.Evil [}:)] This is called the shopping bug that all women have. She will use that as the excuse because it makes her feel good. Now if you don't do something with that G scale purchase she will keep reminding you until you do. You see now she has a hand in controlling your own hobby to do list. I drive my wife a bit nuts as I am very specific with my purchases. When I say I need some more covered hoppers it does not mean for her to buy any one she sees or tell the family that they would make a great gift. We all know where that will go.

I am just saying where could that money have gone towards your current project. Now you have created a new project, which may be a good thing, but may take away from your n-scale time.

Be carefull.Wink [;)]

Re: My wife is the greatest wife ever!!!

Isn't this just typical.  A female goes about her devious ways and us dumb guys think it's great and say thank you!

Let's see, you were in n-scale, which is in the house, and the wifie sees something big and flashy and says Oh look at that, isn't it "neat" let's (let "us") get it.  Of course this is for "outside" the house.  If she had said "get your trains out of the house", would you still think it's great and she's wonderful?  Whistling [:-^]

It was mentioned before to be careful.  Perhaps they should have said "Be afraid, be very afraid".

Re: My wife is the greatest wife ever!!!

I guess I will spoil the juxtaposition by posting this.  This thread will go to the top while the one next door stays in the same place.

As I opened this thread, it read "My wife is the greatest wife ever!!!"  Entirely by chance I assume, the next thread read, "Wow, what a view!!"

Anywa, I think my wife is good looking and she tolerates, and often even appreciates, my trains.

My girlfriend is a BRATAngel [angel].  However she is a cute brat and she did get me a Pioneer Zephyr Christmas before last.  So....I can't complain.  I'll keep her.Wink [;)]

Re: My wife is the greatest wife ever!!!

Let me set this up a little; On December 27th my 20 year old son scraped my 2002 Buick, nobody hurt. This morning my wife tells me to go buy the car I want to replace the Buick, I made a deal for a red 2007 Ford Fusion 14,000 KM, love it full load, leather heated seats and... . Before I finalize the deal, I call her just to make sure it's OK, she says just make sure it has a spoiler! Done.

This afternoon we are driving to IKEA to help my daughter to bring home some stuff she bought when I drive by my LHS and my wife reminds me about the decoder I need to buy, I even forgot about it, talk about a wonderful wife, I've been with her for 31 years so there is hope out there for you guys!

Wow....New York Central to Central Japan? I wonder what a Japanese version of the 20th Century Limeted would look like?

I am not married, but my Fience has done some stuff that amazed me. She had gone to a train shop out in San Diego a couple years ago and got me something I was looking for for a very long time, A Terminal Railroad Association of St. Louis Custom Built Transfer Caboose.
