General Discussion (Model Railroader)

I like the whisker couplers as well and  think the bulk pack is a great idea. I am making them the standard coupler for my engine fleet. I have no idea what Kadee is planning, but I do know they monitor and sometimes respond to this forum.

I've only used 148's since they came out, really are superior in operation. Bulk packs of my new standard coupler would be great.  Are you there Kadee ?

I emailed Kadee back in December asking that very question.  Here was their prompt reply:

Yes, we do have plans to eventually bulk pack our whisker couplers but it
will be quite sometime down the road. Since these take so much longer to
produce we are building another machine to increase the production and when
that is finished then we'll be able to introduce bulk packages of these
couplers.

Sounds like it's coming, but may still be a while.
