Looking for info: Army Reserve RR Unit

I am honorably discharged from the NC ANG, considering re-enlisting and would like info on the Army Reserve MOS 88U.  This occupation specialty is railroading.  I think the unit is in Conneticut?  If anyone can enlighten me, I sure would appreciate it!  Thx in advance.

  Sign - Welcome [#welcome] First of all, Welcome to the Forum.. My information is not current, but some years back there was a large railroad operational set up at Fort Eustis, Virginia... I was told that that was the HQ for all Army train (Transportation) training and operations. And a Public Museum at the gate.

The unit you are looking for is the 1205th Transportation Railway Operating Battalion(TROB) based in Middletown, CT.  The 226th Transportation Railway Operating Company (TROC) is headquartered at Westover Air Reserve Base in Chicopee, MA.

The 1205th TROB was inactivated in Sep 06 and its attached 226th Trans Co (Rwy) still exists as a separate unit.  When mobilized, it would be assigned to the 757th Trans Bn (Rwy) headquartered in Milwaukee, WI.
