Mr. Aussie;
Theese are a lot of good you have been given, try this one also, it's a great design site, and good people.

Scroll down to Layout Plans - Micro and Small Layouts. If you post your Question there, along with "Given & Druthers" list, you should get design help there also.[tup]
Good Luck

Hi, I asume that you are going to use a hollow core door in the US they come in width from 24 inches to 36 and 82 inches long. There is a site in the internet with layout plans for one or more doors. Good luck.

RE: HO On A Door

After much thought, I decided to design a shelf layout roughly based on one of the Micro Design Website Shelf Switchers combined with a station so I can also shunt passenger cars as well.

Thanks for all your help

do you plan on using dcc? cause that can be very convient unless you jsut going to make a small layout with one or two engines if so then you can go with dc. but if its going to be decent size it better to start with dcc then coverting halfway through

RE: HO On A Door

I don't know much about DCC, but my mates from the local model railway club should be able to help me out.
It's just i'm having a difficult time trying to design a layout that includes a station, swicthing yard (Inglenooks, TymeSavers whatever) and some spare sidings.
