I think a bus is needed for any city scene

Unless, of course, the True Faith is still followed and trolleys rule the streets, amen.

Of course, I have nothing particularly against buses, you know.  Here is a Japanese page where you can download and fold paper models of them in HO scale.  They look pretty good and could be very useful if you want to make a really bus-crowded scene, like a major city at rush hour:

i've been in a sort of frenzy looking for modern buses.  found a company that makes some really good die cast models... Joal.   and Corgi has some that would work well for city scenes.  careful, though, that you don't buy a right hand drive model. :)

Be careful about Corgi if you're in HO!  Most of their stuff is better in S or O scale.  My My 2 cents [2c]
