Rohm & Haas + Dow

On Wednesday I saw one of the effects of the Rohm & Haas and Dow merger. Previously the only butyl acrylate tankcars I would see coming through were leased to Rohm & Haas. On Wednesday I saw a Dow tankcar carrying butyl acrylate.

Re: Rohm & Haas + Dow

Gee, why don't I hear about these things?

Another thing to watch out for, post-merger: Dow getting rid of some surplus equipment. I saw a former DOWX tank car relettered HCPX last week; there may be quite a few of those. And this might relate to your other question, if Dow decided to (or was required to) sell off a facility or two as a condition of the merger.
