Railshop, Inc

I just went to what was Railshop's website and found the domain is now for sale. I did an Internet search but could not find anything. Has anyone heard if they have gone out of business?

Re: Railshop, Inc

Haven't heard - I just visited the site successfully literally a few days ago, and was able to see their products.  If Railshop is gone, I hope someone takes them over because I'd like to pick up a couple items too.

No, thats not it.  Railshops website looked quite different and advertised former Eel River PC&F beer cars and a few other types.

You can purchase any of the beer cars in stock, through here. http://www.weatheringsolutions.net/ go to the bottom of the first page for more info. The only car NOT in stock is the undecorated kit with the 10'6' door. All others are in stock.

If you don't mind Blue Box Kits, Greenway Products has a wide variety of Beer Cars for $18.00 each + S/H.

Re: Railshop, Inc

The ExactRail are not the style with the full length side sills I see the BN cars.  They have the notched side sills so thats not what I"m after.  The Eel River cars are the needed version.

Mike, I appreciate the suggestion but I'm not modeling the 1940's, but rather the 1970's and 1980's.  Eel River made a very cool PC&F 61' beer box car which ran around the west.  In my case they ran out of Golden Colorado and up the Front Range of the Rockies on the head end of hot shot freight trains with Coors beer.

This is the Eel River car, note the full length side sills - the ExactRail has notches and is a different variation of the same car:

Somehow the link above to railshop takes me to a Kalmbach site.

Try www.railshop.net instead.

Re: Railshop, Inc

It did the same thing for me too, must be another URL got embedded.  Just copy/past http://www.railshop.net to you browser address bar and it brings up railshops site.
