HI GYZ,

Nice nite with wife and dog at fire.  Made up some chicken and wife made some fries.  Watched fire for 2 hrs., came in ran trains for 2hrs., NO PILE UPs, life is good.

PAT, yep gave up the shotgun long time ago for .22.  We started to shoot the squirrels to see who could get head shots, closest to the eye.  Then when that was too esay went to the pistols.  This is tough.  Anything farther then 10 yrds is a challenge.  Of course you do get distance points.

All B safe,

SF,

Good Evening everyone!
MIL and her husband are here.  Had a long day at work, then shot to grocery store to pick up some items to make two bourbon chocolate pecan pies and a white chocolate/caramel cheese cake.  Then came home, found Fed Ex delivered my Oil-less turkey fryer, brought that in and then headed out with whole gang to Pizza Hut for Pepperoni Pizza.  Now home and baking pies to bring to SIL's house for a early Thanksgiving Dinner.  This will be MIL's first trip up to SIL's house in over 10 years.  Should be interesting

Brent, make sure you keep that scar covered when you wear shorts in the summer time.  If not, at least wear a lot of sun screen over it!  Sun can play havoc on scar tissue and make it more noticeable.

I am about wiped out.  Has been a long week and still dealing with emotions...not much sleep.  Perhaps with a good night tonight, and some fun with the family tomorrow, I will get some rest and enjoy the weekend.

Laz, I still use a 22 rifle, but nail them with spine shots out to about 120 yards.  I shot one at that distance and you would have enjoyed seeing him tumble as he was at a full run!  One of the guys I work with makes a stew out of them, so I give him the carcasses to take care of.

Hope everyone has a great time this weekend.
God Bless,
Dennis

DENNIS,

If you get 3-4 of those little guys, they make up a great meal.  I boil them for about 20 minutes, then pick off all the good meat, place that in crock pot with 2 cans o beer.  After I get all meat off squirrels, add carrots, celery, beans, onions, galic, let simmer for an hour or two then add potaoes and about 3 cans of tomatoe soup, let that simmer in crock pot for another 2-4 hrs., or until potatoes are soft.   Put the bib on its time to eat, with some good rolls YUM YUM.

Good Evening

Just home from church. We had a full course turkey dinner and then a concert from a local christian music school. I must admit the music was very good. And of course the dinner.

I am full but have banilla for the Tardis crew....S.J.

Howdy all - prayers for all, including BK now!

Got the new CTT, but haven't had a chance to check it out.  Cover sure looks neat :)

Wife had a transfusion today and it went pretty well.  I took off early to pick up the kids from their schools.  Stopped at our new Super Walmart and got the new Star Trek dvd and also Left 4 Dead 2.  Got to play that for about and hour until a buddy called to talk about some work stuff.  Nice chats with RT and Wes tonight.  Working 6 tomorrow OT, so can't stay up very late.  I think SJ is at a big Turkey dinner at his church tonight?  Never mind, I know where he hides the key and we can get that banilla :)  Let's hit that Tardis!

Sunny and 50's today.  Not bad for late November.

My wife heard back from the doctor today about the results from the MRI.  Slipped disc between the 4th and 5th lumbar and a buldged disc between the 1st and 2nd lumbar.  Appointment with the specialist on Nov. 30 to talk about pain manangement and other options.  She is feeling better and moving around more today and is planning on going back to work next week.

Brutus - I noticed an add in the new CTT about a train show in St. Louis area this spring.  It is penciled into my schedule.  You making any plans yet, or is it too soon to tell?

Careful up on the roof, Chief.

Safe travel for those who are going to be traveling this week and prayers for those who need them.

One more quick stop before shutting things down for the nite.

Anybody who likes the "Large Scale" stuff, especially Buckeye, will like this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMsJ_P6d-zg absolutely amazing.

Brutus - it is in St. Charles the 1st weekend of February.  I went back and looked it up.  Glad to hear your wife's treatment has started.

Got back from lake house.  Ridgecap screwed down to Ranger Barn.  Was no problem.  Hardest thing was staying over the 2X4's under the metal roof so my fat body did not dent roof.  Had a 2010 Census meeting at 4 PM [who calls a meeting at 4 PM on Fridays?] with Feds.

Took photos of lake.  It had dropped a foot.  Now I am going to post photos of Oct level [some may have missed them] and then approximately the same area taken today.  This water came up in 4 days.  That is a lot of water with over 850 miles of shore line on this lake.

Oct.

Buddy's dock that was dry in Oct.

There is a new treated lumber 4 foot high "seawall" under the geese [normal level, water is at bottom of seawall].

Had my popcorn for tonight.  Off to bed.  All sleep tight.

PS: can't get to my dock as road is flooded.  If I could, I could not get on it even though I pulled it in last week [and cut finger].

I made it back from the woods in one piece.  All and all a good week in the woods.  I shot this little guy not too far from an old 3' gauge RR grade from the 1880's

Good Morning.  Getting ready to head out to HotLanta.  Brutus, glad wife is coming along.  That marrow exchange will be most welcome with the desired effects.

Been a lot of hurts around here lately...thanks to the friends here who give an ear and a prayer to so many concerns.

Will check back on Sunday.  Hope everyone has a blessed weekend.

Mornin' boys.  Partly sunny and 41 here in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Getting crackin' on the laundry already.  Perhaps scrambled eggs with diced ham in the dining car when the ladies arise.

Hope BK is takin' it easy.
