Dennis,

Sory to hear about your loss.

Doug M.,

If you can't get the nut loose after using WD40, buy a can of PB Blaster. It is much better than WD40, just don't get it on plastic.

I got the 302AC back together Saturday night, and it runs very strong. I noticed that it chuffs much louder after I polished the cylinder and piston, but the smoke unit remained cold. So, I had to rebuild it last night. I enlarged the wick holes between the upper and lower chambers with a 1/8" drill bit while I had it apart. It smokes good now, but I am having trouble getting the front end of the chasis to seat itself in the boiler. The back is in the motor mounts, but the front won't drop into place. At that point, it was 2AM, so I decided to quit for the night.

Michael's is having a 50% off sale on its LEMAX Christmas Village collection until Wednesday.  Already picked up the Alpine B&B, Winery, and Chalet, as well as some trees and varmits.

Fife,

Could you post pics? I have been interested in D56 stuff for the the Christmas layout, but the prices have been keeping me away.

I have to make a swing for the Home Ec teacher so that will take up about 2 hrs.

Laz...How hard can it be to cut a board for swing, drill two holes and add the ropes.  Remind me not to ask for anything complicated such as a peg to hang a coat.

Bob.....If you like the video of Ohio Steam, you should live near the tracks where the thing was filmed.  One of the most stunning sights to see in Ohio is a steam train pulling freight cars. It stops people in their tracks and they just stare.

Buckeye--

The rumor mill says that Stanzi had ankle surgery today, ugh.  If that's true I'm very glad that I'll be busy at our youngest son's wedding instead of watching the funeral on TV.  However, I will be cheering for the tuba player   Not many on the forum will understand that last comment.

Good evening

60s today, grass is done for this year. Mower and trimmer gas tanks empty and put to bed. I got through the day with a Celebrex cap, Something to be careful with, one of those that is blamed on heart attacks if overdone.  But one is OK.

Chief I did eat grits once in Ky. of course I did not know any better then. As I recall it was like eating sandpaper with  butter. I shall wait for Brutus and the thingy. Banilla and rootbeer for all...S.J.

DOUG M.,

Hope your boy has fun with the small gas engines.  Maybe he can get one or two running and send them to ROGER's CORNER (elevation 936ft), they still have MULEs there.  Maybe not, they'd scare the animals right out a town, then they'd have to walk all over the tar nation.

Well, day one in the new position is behind me and no tears or gnashing of teeth, so I guess it's going to be okay for all concerned.  I hope this will lead to a promotion.  Time will tell

Watching Petticoat Junction episodes with the family - what a fun tv show with plenty of train action in the 2nd season too

Charlie - You need to get the newer issue of Trains with 1225 covered, very good!

Rootbeer and banilla sound good to me!  Don't know what happened with RT, haven't seen him around in the past few days.  Have to make a special trip over there and see what's up.  Tardis is about ready, just taking on board the last of the supplies along with frosted mugs for the rootbeer, Old Mills, and Miller Lite!

Brutus--

Belated BDAY greetings, sorry.  Too much on the platter with weddings and funerals but that's life.

Cloudy and 60's here,

My wife was too lame to go to work today.  Got her to the doctor, who suspects a pinched nerve.  Perscribed muscle relaxants, anti-infalmetory, and pain killers.  Told her to stay off of her feet for a few days too. This sounds like the symptoms are being treated.  We wonder what caused the pinched nerve to begin with? She has not done anything unusual lately.

Lost a bid on another 1033 transformer on e-bay.  Guess I'm being too cheap.  Oh well, there are a lot of them out there.  I'll just keep trying.

Later all.

Stay frosty,
