Re: Not for sale.

This one might be more of the keeper variety, rather than the read and pass along variety.  I'll let Houston Ed decide that.  Both copies should mail out early next week.

Dan, I should be able to mail it Monday 11-9; it took me a bit longer to read than my earlier estimate, as it got a bit more interesting as it went on.

I thought it was an interesting read. I learned a lot I didn't know before regarding the railroad's history.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it.

Got it today.  Once I have a chance to get into it and see how it reads I'll give a guesstimate of how long it'll take me.  What a neat concept...almost like a print exchange (photos).

I should be about done with the book by next week Tuesday(ish).  I'll know for sure after the weekend where I stand with it.  Who will want it when I'm done?

Re: Not for sale.

Chad check your PM box.  Had a delay devolp called the WIFE wanted all of a sudden to read the book.  She has never wanted to read any of my railroad books before yet wants to read this one.  Could it be the 2 shares of Berkshire Hathaway stock her dad has for each kid.

Re: Not for sale.

Anybody interested in steam?  I have several books about steamers that I'd like to give away.  For the most part, they are general photo books, with varying amounts of text.  If you are interested in a particular one, let me know, on this thread, and I'll mail it to you.

I Have the following needing new homes:

The Golden Age of Steam  2 copies

The Steam Locomotive, a Century of North American Steam, by Jim Boyd

The Spirit of Steam:  The Golden Age of Steam in North America

Steam Trains, a World Portrait

' Got it.  I'll try to mail it out on Monday.  What you do with it is up to you.  I need to thin down my books, and am happy to give them away to a good home.
