Is Heiser's Models still in business?

I've been wanting to try one of there resin or plastic Sherman tank models, but they've been out of stock everywhere for a while now. There models look really good and since Herpa wants $9.25 for theirs, I thought I'd give Heisers a shot. I need alot of Shermans for flatcar loads.

If you are talking about the outfit I think you are talking about they are/were three or four guys in partnership doing business out of a garage somewhere in the vicinity of Phoenix, Arizona. They were using epoxy colorated yellow. It was reported at one time that they were expanding into N-Scale but I don't recall ever having seen anything.

I say "are/were" because the last I heard of them--and this is several years old--they were in trouble with them thar pesky Infernal Revenue Service folks.

Again, if we are referring to the same outfit, their HO-Scale line of merchandise was sold exclusively through hobby shops so if they are out of stock every place you have checked and have been for some time then I would venture that it is a safe bet that they ain't doin' business no more!

I just did a keyword search and came up with this link.

Link does have a phone number.

Have you tried TRUCK STOP MODELS?

Also look at the web site of 1-87 Vehicle Club.
