Good idea if you live in a larger urban area.  It's 150 miles from my house to the nearest hobby shop that sells trains, supplies, etc.  I run O gauge & they have very little of that and no G. therefore, I buy quite a bit off ebay and from other reputable internet stores.

I've been fortunate, I guess, to deal with reputable sellers.  When I get to Denver, I sure enjoy the two train stores I know of there.  That's also where my trains go for repair.

It's good to get tips about who's a reputable dealer when you need to use the internet community.
