First Section of Scenery Complete On My New Western Pacific (Many Pics)

It's been a while since my last post, but as you can see, I've been busy building.  Today, I took a break from construction to document and share my progress. I hope you guys enjoy the photos....

This first pic shows an early construction shot on my canyon area (the before shot)

And now the after shot......

The waterfall scene was inspired by fellow forum member Art Hill. To create it, I used silicone sealant. The water spray effect was done with thin layers of cotton, mixed with gloss medium.

Baxter's Supply Company is the first building to be incorporated onto the new layout.

This last shot shows one of my signal towers installed. I re-named it to better fit the theme and location.

I think a campfire with some hobo's off to the left of the waterfall would be perfect!  :)

Believe it or not, it was not as difficult as I thought it would be. This is the first time I've ever modeled a waterfall, always thinking it would be too hard to make it look realistic. There are some great "how to's" for creating waterfalls on the web, including a short video on the Woodland Scenics home page.

Ok, that's all the inspiration I need, I'm going downstairs to build something, thanks.

Really nice work Bob, I especially like the trestle tower built on the island.

Bob, you need to model a photographer taking pictures of the scenery.
