Good afternoon all, man, it has really been hot here for the last two days.  I think it's around 103 today.  Probably Santa Ana wind conditions causing it.  New fire burning near Moorpark.  No smoke where I live so far.  I can't run trains when it gets this hot in the garage.  I have been taking advantage of the features offered on the net by CTT.  Looking at reviews and videos.  Went for a walk this morning before it got too hot and to the store for goodies later but that has been about it for the day.  My son, who is tougher than me, went to see an Angels Baseball game today.  Plan on buying Chinese take out food tonight.  It's too hot to cook.  I think I'll dig out the Oct. issue of CTT and take a look at that article on building an inexpensive transfer table.  Sounds interesting and I looked at the video of the thing in operation.  Looked pretty good.  I just got my November issue of CTT today.  Looked like somebody tried to eat the back cover but the rest of it is OK.  I like the magazines wrapped in a plastic bag.  Never had a problem with those.  I have been thinking about what I can sell to generate a litttle cash for some more train stuff at Cal Stewart but when it comes right down to it, I don't have that much that I want to part with.  It's funny how each piece has a story that goes with it.  Like how and when you got it. What you paid?  Each piece brings back a lot of memories so unless a piece is a real dog, it's hard to let go.  These trains are kind of like pets.  You become attached to them.  I'm beginning to understand how a friend of mine who has a small warehouse full of trains, hardly ever sells anything.  It's a little extreme with him though because he has so many duplicates.  He would tell you though that each one is a variation or something.  He says that when he passes on, he is going to have all of them melted down into a big glob.  I doubt that.  I'm sure his family would have something to say about it.  He's probably just pulling my chain.

Pat, I must have missed that feature in the CTT newletter you mentioned like Bob's train box.  I think I probably deleted it by accident.

Chief, you are really dedicated getting up at 5:30 to go to a gym.  Did'nt know they opened that early.

Have a good evening y'all

Ray

Good Evening

We had another nice day close to 80, ah but the clock is ticking. Had a nice walk this morning and we went to some kind of info fair for seniors. Free samples, BP test, that sort of thing. Students from the career prep center cooking class fed us. It was something different to do. I even ran a few trains today. Banilla is ready and waiting for Brutus and the thingy...S.J.

Off to bed.  Good Criminal Minds.  Wifey and I watch this one and eat popcorn together.  Got call from Dr's nurse and she said I needed to go to Specialist as xray shows I have a sinus infection.  Will go and get them "pumped" out.  This will be the only male Dr. I have.  He does a good job and it will work.  Then the same nurse called Wifey and told her that her xray shows a mass and she needs that taken care of.   We both have the same Dr.  In fact, the whole family [except Alison who is now in Wilmington but did before she moved] has the same Dr.  I started out with her and the gang loved her so they all go [including Frankie].  Got to get up early tomorrow to take Lucy to get haircut.  No gym as neighbor [the one that is needy] and I will do more powerwashing on house and buildings.  We did that from around 4:30 til dark.  Makes house look like new bricks and mortor.  Got one side left.  I pay him about three times what the usual rate is.  Then we add some in to help them out.  Then an open house at 1.  Hope to buy a Henry Golden Boy rifle tomorrow afternoon and then go to the lake.   No gym or trains until I get back.  Later

Man Chief, you got a lot done today.  Hope that mass is "nothing"!

Running later tonight - off tomorrow though and taking wife to doctors for exams and more exams.  This is a big step - if she passes them (when), then the sister gets her exam and the clock is ticking Thumbs Up

Ran trains - TPC reset to factory defaults.  Drops voltage on [direction] button, but then sometimes it's a bigger drop then others - I cranked the Z1000 to full power, thinking that would get closer to a full sine-wave, if that's the problem.  Well, it did work better - I was able to get it to switch into forward, then neutral, then eventually forward again?  Switched back to command mode and ran Thomas while Percy ran on an O27 circle with my cw80.  No Pileups!

Laz - I heard Charlie went hunting for Bear!

Mike, you can drive tonight - I'll hit the wayback circuit and come get you all in a minute!

Cloudy and cool here today.

Corporate group is in the plant this week.  Lots of meetings going on.  They have pulled 26 people from the plant into them.  Yesterday the meetings ran from 8am to 8pm.  Today, they knocked off about 1pm and took the group bowling?????  I'll have to remember to thank my boss for keeping me out of these meetings.  I've said it before, and I'll say it again - American industry is hilareous to watch, if you stay in the proper frame of mind.

Prayers for those who need them.  It looks like there might be some more medical projects starting....

I'll be dropping off of the grid for about 10 days.  Driving to Orlando with my son, then off to Spain on Saturday for a week long business trip.  I don't know if I'll have access to a computer or not.  I'll check in, if I can.

Later all.

 Hello all,

I've been following along without much to say. Doing lots of stuff that's been put off and needs done before winter. May start some wine this evening.

Having grandson's 4th birthday party here Friday evening. http://amtma.blogspot.com/2009/01/let-amtma-host-your-birthday-party.html It's a nice place. They have the top floor of an old building with layouts in "O" "S" "HO" and "N". they have two loops of ride on Thomas for the kids as well as several Thomas and Brio tables for the kids to play with. They hold open house one weekend a month from September to April. They do private parties for kids. I've taken the grandkids several times, they love it

Chief, what's a Henry Golden Boy rifle

Sounds like something my grandson could use

Prayers to all who may need them

Good morning all,

It is rainy again in SE Indiana (hopefully will get games in tonight) and muggy.  I did weights, treadmill and soccer drills at the YMCA after a short nap last night.  Watched some of "Glee" on Fox.  May be a good show.  Watched some of "Mercy" while at YMCA.  Wife watched some of "Eastwick" as well.  I had the regular fare on the dining car for breakfast before sending it to "Points East".  I had no problems driving last night in the Tardis, but there was some discussion among the passengers as to what to watch on the big screen.  I had to put the stabilizers on three-quarter power to keep everybody from rocking the Tardis!  TBIL.  I hope everyone has a good day.

Keep on training,

Mike C. from Indiana

Morning all!

Haven't been writing much as there hasn't been much goings on.  Bride has friend comming over Saturday to can tomatoes, with 5-yo & 8-yo boys...A great excuse to run the trains!  I better buy more fuses.

Will take the girls to Putt-Putt golf today.

Brutus:  Prayers for your Bride.

8ntruck:  Safe travels!  Spain sounds like a great trip.  Hope you have some time to enjoy it.

Good Morning from Blueberryhill....

It is a little foggy 64 degrees. Very humid. Going up to 80 today with rain predicted.

Today is an easy day. Yesterday was very busy. Grocery shopping.

I plan to  relax and maybe run trains later. Not much else new.

Dining car arrived from "Points West" and we had the usual for breakfast.

Y'all have a great Thursday.

Chuck

Good Morning

Sunny and nice this morning.

Big breakfast means no lunch and I have taken my morning walk. Will probably take another walk this evening. No plans for the day so maybe some train running...S.J.

CHIEF,

Henry Golden Boy, what caliber.22 or something bigger.  Nice guns they had a pile of em at last gun show they weren't cheap.  .22 was going for about $400.  A year ago could of had one for about 325.
