http://boomclips.com/videos.aspx/video~car_hits_train/Car_Hits_Train/Stupid_videos/ Car crashes into train at low speed. I suspect alcohol was involved.

Re: Low speed auto- train crash

I don't know if it was the slowest car-train collision of all time, but it has to be counted among the dumbest.

I wonder if the 4-wheeler pilot was texting...

Okay, I'll bite.  Define, "Indignent."

A year or so before you joined the Forums I suggested that a modeler could make a model rubber-wheeler out of tinfoil and cracker crumbs and arrange a typical 'drove around the gates' collision.  Of course, I was thinking of the 'train hit the car' variety, not the 'drove into the side of a clearly visible train' variant we're discussing here.

Sign seen on the back of a military bus in Japan in the 1960s:

Trains have both might and right.  Stop at all railroad crossings.

The law said, "Stop."  Failing to do so could slim down your wallet.  Having a wrong encounter with a train would lay you open to being sued by every person inconvenienced by the delay you caused, which could easily lay you open to upward of a thousand lawsuits.  Even if there wasn't a train present, the police were omnipresent.

Re: Low speed auto- train crash

indignant: –adjective

feeling, characterized by, or expressing strong displeasure at something considered unjust, offensive, insulting, or base: indignant remarks; an indignant expression on his face.

Sorry Chuck, I spelt it rong. Yet agen hukt on fonex wurkd 4 me. On the other hand, I took it as you said a train-hitting-car wreck, not a car-hitting-train wreck. I still won't watch it though, don't need to be reminded of the stupidity of this world. One things for sure, if there really is intelligent life out in space, they probably have us tuned into their version of Comedy Central.
