UP SD-40-2, Truck Removal

Has anyone pulled the front truck on a Lionel SD-40-2 ?

The two screws that hold the motor to the motor mount have come loose allowing vertical motor travel. In looking at the lionel drawings there are two screws on the top of the mount as well as one fom the bottom holding the motor mount to the truck but how in the heck do you get to the top two screws ?
