The whole world is out there on the Internet for you. Rather than have someone else do the work for you, do a Google Image search for the caboose. Try adding "model" to your search to see if any show up.

There was a Toledo, Angola and Western which ran from the Secor and Dorr Road area out to a limestone quarry west of Toledo. It interchanged with the Toledo Terminal and paralleled the NYC Sylvania branch. I don't remember if they had any cabooses, I never saw one.

Re: Does anyone make a .......
Out of curiosity I googled Toledo, Alton, and Western and walah! there was indeed once a corporate entity with that name; it disappeared into the "Clover Leaf" sometime at the beginning of the last century. Believe it or not but according to the article displayed on Google Rock Island was once powerful enough to challenge--and win--a dispute with the mighty Onion Specific for control of this line.
I didn't look long enough to discover details of its existence--was it run as an independent entity by the "Clover Leaf"?--but I would imagine that it had cabeese similiar to other Midwestern carriers of the late 1800s-early 1900s. Slap on a RI caboose and letter it for the Toledo, Alton, and Western; since no one--including me--knows anything about this road who is going to challenge your authenticity?

I looked thru at least 50-75 pages on Google Image Search, before I posted here. After watching this forum for so long, I have respect for the knowledgeable RRer's that patrol here. Thats why I came here for help when I did. I have a correction to make, the railroad is the Toledo,Peoria and Western. It was a RR that had its operations in Illinois and Indiana moving agricultural products, raw materials, autoparts, etc. There is a Proto 2000 GP7 and a Proto 1000 RS 2 or 3 in the TP and W livery. I got a great deal on a Proto 2000 GP7 with DCC and sound. Im not sure what the paint scheme on their cabooses was,but I guess I'll "wing it"

I did a plain old fashioned google search for search terms Toledo Peoria Western caboose
First hit (on google books) has two pictures of such cabeese. Of course, I have no clue as to whether the colors are from the time period you are interested in, since you didn't specify time period.
Some 1983 pictures of TP&W cabeese : http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/tpw/tpw.html

Steinjr, Thanks, your link and advice has led to me finding most of what I need. I now have an idea of what paint scheme Im going with.
Midnight Railroader, I will take your advice. I've never been a good writer, and writing posts has never been a strong point of mine.

Look at 705 and 741, since you like the Santa Fe, you'll definately like this scheme.

Santa Fe.
What era are you modeling? If you are modeling modern times, Its just a Midwest shortline thru Indiana and Illinios now. Heck I alway think it has been a shortline for most of its existence. Not a Class 1 Line maybe a Class 2 pushing a Class 3........ hehehehehehehehehehe
If I was you. I would get an undec version of a caboose that you like and wing the paint job. Ya can always say it was from the roads paintshop. Kevin

Re: Does anyone make a caboose for the Toledo, Peoria and Western??
Thanks for the info/links guys, it was a big help. My time frame is the late 50's, but I dont ridgidly adhere to the prototype. I chose this GP7 because I like the paint scheme, it was a good deal and after looking I found the real RR connected the PRR with the Santa Fe RR. Later, the Santa Fe purchased the TP and W. My plan is to purchase a Athearn RTR and mod it. Im not sure if I'll go with a wide vision or bay window caboose as they arent my favorite types. I prefer cuppola types. It seems that for most of its life the TP& W used a red and white scheme, in fact I've only found a few pics of locos in the same green and yellow scheme my GP7 is in.

Re: Does anyone make a .......
SFATW: I was born and raised in the Peoria area so will help. You have to know what you are looking for or looking at before you can even ask the question. Others have suggested websearches, but the subject is pretty narrow.
If you are speaking of the TP&W company that merged into Santa Fe on 1/1/84 there were 18 Santa Fe cars that wore TP&W reporting marks. They were the #2221 and 2253 which became TP&W 529 and 530 in January 1969. These cars can easily be represented by the Santa Fe CE class of cabooses sold by Athearn and Centrailia Car Shops/Intermountain in HO. A total of 16 Santa Fe CE-8 International Car Extended Vision Cabooses wore TP&W lettering in 1982-1983, the last year of the independent TP&W before the merger. The 16 cabooses were 999700-701, 704-705, 707-710, 715, 720, 724, 726, 732, 740-741, and 749. The cars were repainted with TP&W markings and the 999 number preceeding the last three numbers was painted out. Data from Joe McMillan's Santa Fe Motive Power page 145.
Most of the rest of the TP&W steel caboose fleet was built in the road's East Peoria Shop. A roster of these cars is in Joe McMillan's Santa Fe Motive Power on page 113.
