Re: COFFEE POT #8, for all to take a drink and chat. Welcome all posters. 4 yrs old and still going.
Pat I wouldn't recommend driving down the road with your leg sticking out the window of the pickup truck might cause more problems than you already have. ( like hitting all those mailboxes)
Doug thanks
Evening all not a lot going on tonight just taking it easy.
Still waiting on my 2 flat cars that were supose to get mailed via Priority mail but the guy sent Parcel post ( or as wife calls it turtle express) its been 12 days now. I'm giving him till friday( after mailman runs which is about 11:45) then I think I will file complaint thru paypal/ebay. that will be 2 weeks.
Sure wish if someone states priority they would send it priority.

dwiemer: With regards to John Ritter, he had a ascending aortic aneurysm, which starts at the outflow of the heart and goes up the aorta towards the carotid arteries, etc. His issue was that he was being treated for a heart attack instead of the real problem
Dennis, thanks for taking the time to enlighten me on the subject. I new there was something different about Ritter's problem.
Good afternoon all, I finally got my other switch machine wired up this morning. Gave up on working two switches from one controller so I put in one for each. I wanted to have separate switch point indicators for each switch.
Added some more dry acid to pool this AM to try and fix PH and total alkalinity per pool store. Wanted to swim this evening but grandson has a scrape on his knee and his mother wants him to stay out today. I might go in by myself. It's still hot here.
Picked up some more cucumbers at local produce store but they are too big. Look like small watermellons. I exagerate but I like cucumbers smaller. The super markets are asking a buck apiece for theirs. I get them for three or four for a dollar so I can't complain too much. Have to have Chief E mail me some of his after he fills up that five gallon bucket again. Dbaker I see that battle scarred box car from Ohio is still residing on your railroad. That was an ugly scene when the car ran over those people in the picture.
More later, Ray

Good evening all,
Late breaking news! Tony George out as chairman of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. To show you how the priorities are set in Indiana, that story took precedence in the news over the budget battle that could have shut down the state government (fortunately a budget was passed so I can go to work tomorrow). It is nice to know Hoosiers have their heads on straight :-)
Keep on training,

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers, all. Loosing somebody so young, so suddenly is tough.
Prayers for ailing wives, blood clots, blood pressure, and other assorted ills. Am I mistaken, or have we traveling an extra rough stretch of road recently?
Hitched a ride on the Tardis tonight. We flew over some interesting topics.
Gotta figure out some way to get better ventelation in the third floor train room so I can get more run time in the summer. Reparing screens and installing a fan will be a start. Maybe this weekend.

Nice chats with 8nT, Sir James, and Doug tonight on his way home Great pic Doug, Kelly looks like she loved her vacation! I have to catch up on her blog - it's been a couple weeks, but I've been busy with stuff.
Prayers for Ray, Patrick, JimSP's family, Chief's Better Half, and all in need Lucas is another great example of the power of prayer here on the board - lots of great guys here
88 - oops, sounds like good work makes more work where you work too! Hope everything goes well on your projects at work and home!
Special thanks to all who have been praying for my wife day after day - it is greatly appreciated. Got word today that the insurance approved the facility, but not the procedure, that must wait for more test results to reach the insurance company - sounds about like what you were talking about, Dennis. Wife had a transfusion today - she was at 7.5 yesterday.
Mike - I'll drive tonight, you can hang out - just watch and make sure that Patrick is good and stays propped up, last night he was trying to dance with Don's neighbor lady
LOVE the farmer advice - keep it coming! Where is Jack? Banks? Bob! Greg? Hey guys - keep us updated!

RT,
Parcel Post is very slow. I bought a copy of Resident Evil 0 from a seller in Utah, and it took about two weeks to get to PA. Try contacting the seller to see what is up. Priority Mail is much faster.
88,
I honestly don't know how you can stand to be so deeply involved with computers. I've had enough with programming and microprocessors for my life.
I still haven't started any benchwork yet. I need to figure out how much wood I need. I have also been working on a track plan on the laptop. Two weeks ago, I tore the Sunfire apart and fixed the headlight harness. I also learned that creepers and steep driveways can be a bad combo. Spent last week fishing. Tomorrow, I need to get the PGT cleaned up for state inspection on Friday. Took her around the neighborhood Sunday to be sure she is ready for inspection. Ran great. It is so nice to be driving a quality car again.

Mornin'... Okay 97Probe, can't get that creeper vs driveway "moment" outta my head...conjurs up Chevy Chase!
Where was I Oh yeah, Overcast and 64 here in the Mid-Atlantic region. Did not get to go sailing yesterday, as scheduled crew bailed out, then ugly weather hit area. Did get vinyl lettering applied to stern, and the name and port of call look sweet in bold script.
Off today. So is wifey. Her cleaning day, so I will stay outta her way...

NOOOOO!!!!! PLease Doug, Don't Do It!
OK, Pat, no problem, glad I could put your mind at ease. That said, please do follow up with your MD as you want to keep things from happening again. And keep in mind, airplane rides, or long trips that have you in one position are bad. Stop and walk around a little every so often so that it doesn't happen again.
Well, got up early to a quiet house. Wife eventually got up and came to spend some time with me while on the computer. I didn't get much time to post as we were looking at certain reservations of places to go while at Disney in September. Also have son's birthday this week, so making plans as we have to have multiple parties to entertain grand parents and friends alike. None of them can be hear the same day, so it is a lot of mini-parties instead of one big one.
Watched "Extreme Machines" on DVR yesterday on Trains. Some neat footage of Ohio Central and on the guy from across the pond who dabbles in old trains. Has owned the Flying Scotsman as well as a number of other vintage trains. He was/is a record producer who has worked with a number of big stars and says that when they all come to his office and see the trains, they never talk about music. They all want to head to his yard and ride the rails.
Getting ready to head in. Hope everyone has a blessed day. Dennis

Good morning all,
It is cool and cloudy in SE Indiana, which should make for an interesting game tonight. Did some errands last night. Walked to the YMCA, did weights, and walked home. One of my favorite receptionists was there. She always greets me with a "Hi, Michael". Sort of like "Norm!" on "Cheers", but she is much better looking than "Carla" :-) Still shaking my head over Tony George not being in charge at the Speedway and the IRL. May not be the best situation for the IRL. Back at work today (technically never left) as the legislature passed a budget late last night. Talk about brinkmanship. I do not care what anyone's politics are, but I feel it borders on criminal negligence when 150 adults cannot reach agreement on the one task they are elected to do and which could adversely affect the lives of over 6 million citizens. End of rant.
It was nice just "rubbernecking" on the Tardis although Patrick was getting mighty friendly with Don B.'s "neighbor" :-) Beacon is lit. I had the regular fare on the dining car. Prayers as always going out to those in need. I hope everyone has a good day.
Keep on training,
