General Discussion (Model Railroader)

I am looking for some HO scale figures that will accompany my modern Amtrak train.  I would like some figures that will go inside.  All I can find are heavyweight era and transition period.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

Preiser made some HO scale Amtrak crew figures a few years ago. The part number is 10 10054. They were basically a repainted version of some of their Modern Swiss Railroad Personnel and 1989 railroad personnel. For dining car chefs just use preiser's cooks figures.

When we rode the Amtrak Empire Builder there was of course the train crew,Conductor, front & rear Brakemen, & Engineer. The service crew consisted ot a Porter for each Pullman, a Porter for each two coaches. The lounge car attendant, The diner had the four Cooks a Steward and three Waiters. I was surprised to find the Steward was a woman.

The Conductor and the rear Brakeman were in dark Blue uniforms. The Porters wore white jackets with black pants. The Steward wore black pants with a red jacket as did the Waiters. The Steward's uniform had a white trim on the sleeves and collar where the waiters didn't.
