Shameless Self Promotion

According to the view counter, this video has 9,519 views as of December 1, 2008.  My goal is to hit 10,000 before midnight, December 31, 2008.  To get there, I'll need about 16 new views per day.  So do your part.  Have a peek, then send the link to your railfanning pals.

You can be a part of history!

There is no commercial benefit to me... this is just a random act of shameless self promotion!  Don't forget to check in every day to see how progress is going...

Thanks!

Nah.  I just haven't accomplished much else this year, so I figured I'd set a goal and see if you guys could come through for me!

 Yes SHAMELESS INDEED!

I watched that whole video and enjoyed very minute of it. Your scenery is top notch!  I'm very certain that the Reid Brothers ( The N Scale gurus of the 1980s and 90s) would give you a hearty thumbs up on your layout.

BTW: Please tell us ( ok, me)  where or at which website did you download the train sound with that nice, deep sounding "Honk" horn. Sounded like a Leslie A-200.

Re: Shameless Self Promotion

Ver-ry interesting.

I really like the rapids effect you captured in your river.

Just think - if there had been a few more cars in the consist the locos would actually have crossed under the caboose...  (That happens in Kicking Horse Pass, and on the Tehachapi Loop, but both of those involve tunnels.)

That's the actual prime mover and horn of WM BL-2 82, which still lives and breathes in eastern West Virginia....  Don't believe me?

Check it out here...

The cars clacking by are from a contemporary CSX Coal train I shot in Phillippi, WV the same day.

Lee, I can't say it's the most fun I've ever had in under 4 minutes - - but it's one of the better train related under 4 minute things!!

Nice layout.  The video kept catching up with the buffer and pausing but I finally finished it.

Lee--

I've always been an admirer of your layout and scenery, and it was a REAL treat to finally be able to see it in action!   Great stuff.  LOVED the sound effects
