Please keep my Dad in your prayers.

 Hello.

My Dad had surgery for a cancerous tumor in his bladder on the 19th of Dec. .

He is scheduled to have a bone scan and exploratory surgery next week.

My Dad is very down right now as would be expected.

My Dad worked for the railroad (C&O-CSX) for 42 years, and has been a model railroad buff since he was about 10 years old.He also enjoys racing in NHRA and IHRA competion.

The avatar to the left is my Dad in the winners circle (2006) at Bluegrass Raceway Park (Ky).

My Dad is a Christian and understands what will be will be,but it is still a difficult time for him.

So please keep him in your prayers.Because we do believe in the power of prayer Smile [:)]

Will do brother... will do. Hope he pulls through. I've lost too many friends and family to the big C that I hope if no other disease is found a cure for I hope it would be this one.

Re: Please keep my Dad in your prayers.

Prayers lifted.  Best wishes for your dad and for your family.  Keep us updated.  One good thing about bladder cancer (if any good can be said), is that if caught early, it has a high success rate with treatment.  They will probably implant "seeds" that will deliver therapy at the spot for follow up.  As I mentioned, early treatment is the key.  Good Luck and God Speed.

I am an 8 year survivor, so tell him to hang in there.  It is treated with better results than days of old. Remember that vitamins feed cancer so don't go that route.

Hang tough.

I know how you feel, my father was recently diagnosed with inoperable Lung Cancer and is currently undergoing radiation treatments. I will certainly add your situation in my prayers.

Hanging tough is the way to go.

Collin,

More people are praying for your Dad's recovery than you will ever know.  You are not alone. Stay strong for your Dad, for all of those close to you, and for yourself.
