Thos. Cusack Co. 8 Day Time Switch

Ok so I have receved a gift from one friends that just moved away.  He gave me this Thos. Cusack Co. 8 Day Time Switch Steel box.  Can some one give me a time period of when this box was made? There is nothing in it so I was also wondering what it would be worth.
