Traffic lights

I am working on a layout  and i am looking at the walthers traffic light controller.  Does anyone know how this works and if it's worth buying.

Re: Traffic lights

Yes, it works fine. Whether or not it's worth investing about $100 for a working four way intersection traffic light is your call. There's a guy on e-bay who will sell you two very nice looking non-working traffic lights you hang in the middle of the intersection for about $7.00. I chose to spend the additional money on street lights and crossing signals, which I feel does more for the scene than working traffic lights.

Re: Traffic lights

The Walther's lights are good, but the Model Power traffic lights are just as good in my opinion and alot cheaper. Four of them only costs about $40-50 verses the $100 or so that you'd spend on the Walthers lights.

Re: Traffic lights

I am using walthers traffic signals and they are great to use. They are also perfect for any type of intersection and are well worth the money. Now they just plug into the controller, and if you want to see these singnals in action you could go to youtube and type in model traffic lights
