  • One of the objectives was to not lose any of the old discussions. We wanted to be able to import them into the new format and not be required to shutdown the forums for a long period of time to accompli***his.

The old topics are still here (somewhere).

For example, the ones from the TRAINS Magazine section can be found here. There are currently 2,000+ topics and 17,000+ posts which is about 103 pages of topics.

If you don't see them all, you might have set it to only display topics within a certain period of time.

If you look at that page, at the bottom of the topics list, you will see a row that reads something like this: "Showing topics 1-20 of 1,074, sorted by [last post time] in [descending] order, from [the last year]".

Where I surrounded the words with brackets are where a drop down list appears with different options.

If you change that last option to something like the last 5 days, then you'll only see 3 pages of topics. If you frequent the forums often and are up to date with most of the topics, then I would recommend adjusting this to 30 days. The forums should load a lot faster. If you ever need to look back through the old ones, remember to change that option.
