other possible lines

  • Microsoft picked some great lines but personally I think they could add some new ones. Particularly UP's route over the Siarra's via Truckee etc., Either CN or CP. route over the Canadian Rockies, DRGW through colorado, the Bullet train and I would love to operate an electric over the Cascades on the NP, GN, or Milwaukee Road. How about you guys?

  • I wi***hey would add some BNSF or UP lines that go through Illinois, CN or CP routes would also be great.
  • Some old logging lines would be cool too. I would love to operate a shay or a heisler or climax. So what if they're slow. They're some of the neatest engines in action.
  • Some Canadian lines would be great, but I would also like something more exotic. Perhaps the Australian and Russian transcontinental railways, the London-Edinburgh high speed line (the real home of Flying Scotsman), and maybe part of the route of South African Railways' Blue Train. Maybe the rail line that goes to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, and some South American trains as well.
  • I agree I Had to Electrify Marias Pass Just to see some thing different
  • I would like to see Union Pacifc's Triple Track Main across Nebraska. I like fast running with no stops, that is why I would like it. Something that has to do with Gibbon Junction Nebraska would be nice too.

  • I'd like to operate an iron ore route in the U.P. of Michigan on the CNW, and then load it onto one of the iron ore boats as well.
  • How about the BN 3 track main from Chicago to Aurora or UP 3 Track main in Nebraska

    DOGGY
  • I really would like to operate an F40C or cab car over Metra's Milwaukee District North Line on the Wisconsin Southern Fox Lake Branch and on to the CP main line into Chicago's Union Station. I grew up around this line too as well as the Wisconsin Centrel.

Amen to that! I would like to do something that wasn't up or down at 2% (or more). It is also really cool to pass (or be passed) going the same direction rather than head on meets. In the Tehachapi add-on there are a couple of times were you are passed by faster trains on the fly, and a few instances of you passing other trains going the same way (usually they are stopped waiting for you). That would be mandatory on the Triple.

  • Running an American 4-4-0 over the Transcontinental Railroad would be interesting. Another idea- the Darjeeling-Himalaya "toy train".
  • i willl like to see the milwaukee lines to before metra got those junk mp36s just with the good old f40c and f40phs
  • I wouldn't mind seeing a UP line from Cheyenne to Salt Lake City. It is flat and boring in some parts but is really scenic the rest of the way.

  • I would also like to operate some short lines. Logging lines, like the Camas Prarie Railroad, and perhaps the Mt. Hood railroad, or the Port of Tillimook Bay Railroad. Incredibly scenic and long short lines with loads of possibilities. Maybe Montana Rail Link could be a good one, or the INP line up in eastern oregon. I think short line railroads would be a great addition.
