help making MSTS trains go supersonic

  • I need help with a problem. I hear that modifying the ENG. file can make the locomotive go at a supersonic speed. Thing is, my computer prevents me from saving the changes made to the file. My operating system is Windows Vista if that helps.

  • Try this link http://www.rusnakweb.com/rollingstock.html You can download a ENG file for the Dash 9 that's already been modified - just overwrite the old one.

Make sure you back up the original ENG file if you ever want to run it at normal speeds again...Big Smile [:D]

  • Dear CPRail Modeler: I think maybe your problem is Vista. Try this and see if it helps:

Go to Control Panel/User Accounts/Turn User Account Control on or off, and click to turn the user account control off.

This will usually allow you to save changes to files.

can i get it? I got the dash 9 file and it is hilarious to decouple, slow down and let physics take care of the rest.
