Favorite RR company

  • I would have to say BNSF is my favorite.  I live in northern Wyoming (the northern throat to the Powder River Basin) and my 2 sons and really enjoy watching the coal trains coming out loaded with 15,000 tons of coal in a consist of normally 3 SD75M (mostly the upgraded 4500hp models) or 3 SD70MACs there are a few SD60Ms and the occasional Dash 9 or ES44ACs all locked in 8 throttle with 2 SD75Ms pushing on the rear headed for the the top of Parkman Hill and into Montana.

  • Hi, for me it's got to be a RR which 99% of people have never heared of and it's the Someset & Dorset Joint Railway which ran in the southern part of the UK and is to be brought back to life in Kuju's new train sim next spring.

  • For me its:

NS - ran through my front yard as a kid, just south of London, ON, a cousin actually was an engineer on them until he went fulltime farmer, I love their engines.

CN - the NS ran on a CN line, so we got to see both, pretty funky engines too

NW - I barely remember these engines -they obviously turned into NS

CP - I live in Woodstock, ON now and right beside the CP line

NYC - my grandfather used to run on these in the 60's

Penn Central - absorbed NYC and a predecessor to the current NS, first model engine I bought too!

  • The old NYC if my favorite.  During WWII I used to spend hours with my friends alongside a double set of tracks watching war materiel move by and guessing where it might go for the war effort.  Biggest joy was when they would put flat cars on the siding at the end of our street and load jeeps from Willys Overland.
    WDWRR--We keep dreams on track.
  • Growing up 2 blocks from a Chicago & Northwestern Line, I would say that's my favorite, but here are some others of intrest.

    Wisconsin Central
    Canadian Pacific
    Soo Line
    Fox River Valley Railroad
    Wisconsin Southern

The train came by and I got on, that’s when it all began
  • Does it run on Rails. If it is pulled by a Steam Engine.

  • Santa Fe all the way.

    I also like
