Help Encourage A Forum Member

  • I received an email today from Bob and Nance in Arizona. Bob is not feeling well and they have had to postpone their Amtrak trip. I am not at liberty to disclose much more than this. I know many of you will want to help encourage Bob to get well. I know that many of you will also want to remember him in your daily prayers. Please join with me in wishing Bob a speedy recovery and remembering him in prayer.

Bob and Nance might let us know a little more later but until they do please keep them in your thoughts. If you want to view their profile (or email them) it is Nance69.

Thank you in advance for making a post and saying a prayer for them. [:)]

Scottydog: I haven't had a nip of the water of life for quite some time. However, I do have some pleasant memories of it.

And to Don and Slic---and to anyone I might have missed, Thanks for your good wishes and posts.

  • A Note from Bob to all of you great forum members:

Today I was put on a track, single not dual, having my hands put over my head , and looking down the tunnel which started about 8 feet from where I was laying. The operator(engineer, conductor, or whatever!), disappeared and I started down the track. I really did wonder if the light at the end of the tunnel was a train!!!! I RIght before I reached the tunnel, Istopped and a big black box was coming down towards me. I looked for cutoff emergency switches and red lights or whatever to stop it and wondered where were my train friends now!!It was a strange feeling having this gigantic machine coming down on me( was taking pictures of me) I'm sorry, but they didn't give me any copies to send to you guys on the forum! I kept thinking about what all of you say about staying safe and keeping a safe distance from the track---and also keeping off the track!! So much for safety today! (However, I am thankful for the good medical facilities and equipment we have here in Tucson.

Thanks again for all of your good wishes. I hope that my secretary Nance who is typing this as I dictate it ,does not charge me overtime because it it 11:00 P.M. here in Arizona.

You all have helped me through some long days.
    Bob

    Hi Bob and Nancy:

I've never met or talked to you on the forum, but my brief comms with Jim tell me you are special. I wish I had all your memories of the rails and the great people you have met. I'm a beginner, just in the last 12 months. My more experienced elders at the Danville Model RR Club in VA have filled my head with great visions of future train rides. I hope I can only create for myself a small portion of all you have to remember. God bless you Bob and Nancy and enjoy your Thanksgiving.

  • ....I'll remember you...Bob and Nance tomorrow as prayers go out from our service. Prayers get more powerful with the numbers adding up of those doing it.
