I hope they never repaint the SD38-2s. I like the article written on http://www.ejearchive.com/, sadly, all of that in the top paragraph is true. It is sickening that EJ&E is getting sold to CN. I would've rather had UP take over the line. Now, here is a photo of the soon to be fallen flag I took last Monday.
It isn't the best shot as the sun had set just before, but unfortunatly the sun set on the EJ&E just two days later. The dark days of CN are coming.....
Sadly, this is the future of the CN subsidiary version of EJ&E.
I wish that some miracle would happen that resulted in the merge being terminated, but I know that won't happen.

Hello all, I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Daniel Grega, I'm 15, live in Rydal, Georgia, and I also have a residence in Jane Lew, West Virginia. I spent the first 6 years of my life living in Cleveland, Ohio, 1 block from a Conrail Double main. Currently I live 1 mile from CSX's Etowah Sub, an watch trains on a daily basis. I'm into 80's through modern day Metal/Hard Rock, XBOX 360 and PC, Hockey, Baseball, and Football and obviously railfanning. Nice to meet everyone here!

What positions do you play?
I am a wide receiver and safety, Part JV, Part Varsity (im in 10th)
5 Year catcher turned Left Fielder this year for baseball. Varsity pinch runner my freshman year (im fast) and probably split this year, we have a really good senior outfield.
Dont play hockey, but our highschool is one of the best in the state of MN, the state of hockey.

Well, the STB still does have to approve the whole thing, so there is an outside chance that it could be knocked down. But like I said, it's an outside chance.
I hear ya on the whole thing though. Now you know how I feel about the ICE/DME sale...

I haven't played sports for a couple years, but I hope to play hockey, and baseball again. I played Left, Right, and Center Field, 2nd, 3rd, Pitcher, and SS. In hockey I played Center, Left Wing, Right Wing, Defense, and Goalie. I played football for two years, one with Braves Manager Bobby Cox's grandson (yes I got his autograph).
Right now I'm only a devoted fan. I also have Thrasher Center Ray Ferraro's autograph. I've been to 1 ATL Hawks game, 9 ATL Thrashers games, 1 ATL Braves game, 2 Cleveland Indians games, and 2 Cleveland Lumberjacks (Minor League) Hockey games.
Sad to hear about EJ&E, it was a very interesting RR. I felt the same when Conrail was split, but eventually you'll move on. I came to love CSX, and I still get to see ex-CR's. Continuing on that topic, I'd like to know why anyone would "hate" the "Wet Noodle" or any other RR. First there not going to be around forever, In today's merger crazy world what railroads are here now, are gone tommorow. You should cut your losses, and watch what you have now. You'll probably get to see some EJ&E power for at least a few months to come.
wise words, but since "what i have now" is the dead rotting corpses of the CNWs i once loved, i have chosen to do my railfanning more sparingly on monthly or bi-monthly roadtrips.
i've moved onward to be a fan of the SD70 series. including UP's massive SD70M fleet. for this is the power of today. and soon it will be the power of yesterday. and i can at least showcase that in my pictures.
i have never fanned or even seen the EJE, but i am saddened to hear of their passing. as i am with the DME/ICE, which i have only seen a single unit of. but in 20 years, SD70Ms will be the big talk amongst railfans. and i will be able to say i have seen a ton of them!

That's one of those things still on my list is to get over to the Adams line late some Sunday evening and catch the roadrailer, hopefully with a pair of SD70s. I kind of like those in UP paint.
While I don't hate the CN, they certainly don't have my love either. I still shoot photos of them as they are here and now, but I'd much rather shoot something else if I've got the opportunity. That's why I've only made trips to Point and Rapids a few times, and even then it was mainly going after the WC/IC power.
I plan on going on a tare shooting the ICE over the next month or two if I can help it. I've got trips planned to Northern Illinois, Iowa, and towards La Crosse in the hopes of shooting ICE and DME stuff before the CP takes over. Now the key is to get some nice sunny Saturdays to head out and about...
oh the roadrailer has NS power now. i guess UP didnt want to waste time swapping them for SD70Ms now. it's nice too, cuz the power is more diverse, but still mostly C40-9Ws (hey no complaint there! ) but i have caught NS 6711 twice on ZEMCH. and SD60s are always welcome around here! and then there was the time i chased THIS little gem to elk mound:

Exactly my reasoning too Noah. CN has surrounded me, so I can't RF any thing else unless I take an hour or so drive south. My reasons for going to Point where because of Alec, and WC power. I was sure glad I did take as many trips as I did there. It's almost been a year when I first really RF there.
To add on to Noah's I basically my reason for hating "Crashing Nationally" is they took away WC. I would of like to WC now. It would of been there 20th anniversary coming up (if they would of lasted) I could move on, but WC is in my blood. I can't let the RR go.
