For the most part you are correct. My main instrument that I play is the trumpet. (THE BEST INSTRUMENT IN THE BAND). I do know how to play tuba, baritone, trombone, clarinet, flute, french horn, cornet, and percussion. I am the "stand-in" for the band. I marched with a flugle horn (french horn), baritone, tuba, trombone, clarinet, and flute this year. The other four games of the regular football season, I marched with MY horn. I also marched with a the quints (the multiple drum lookin thing) and a bass drum in contest. In concert I played baritone. I actually got to play my trumpet for sight reading.

Oh, and in case you guys are wondering, I GET TO PLAY MY HORN AT DISNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are playing Ghost Riders in the Sky! I love that song. The trumpet part is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • Clarinet and Piano!!!!

  • Nothing, though I love listoning to music
K-Line The Difference is in the Details
  • I used to play the piano when I was yonger, but I quit because I couldn't stand practicing all the time. Some days I wish I had stuck with, but other days I think of all the model railroading and railfanning I probably got done when I otherwise would have been practicing piano, and I can't kick myself too much!

I got back a little while ago from another Great Day of Railfanning today. Two friends and I went about a two hour drive North to do some railfanning on the CN (ex WC), up that way. It was a heck of a lot of fun. We ended up bagging trains from the CN, UP, and CP, with WC and IC power mixed in. The weather was darn near perfect too. Pictures will come eventually. Right now I'm too tired from traveling to sit down and edit them all....

  • Hello everyone here...

This is a great thread here, and I would love to participate in it if you all don't mind my being here. Some of you may remeber me from the old TRP, and now I am back!

A bit about me: My name is Chris. Photography is a big interest of mine.  I am also an HO scale modeler, and I model MRL, BN, and UP. My favorite parts of the hobby are detailing diesels and freight cars, and weathering. And photographing my models... even though I have no scenery! Whistling [:-^]

I will try to post once a week or so, time, homework and traveling permitting.

In case you want to see some of my photos, check out the link in my siggy.

  • Good to see you Back Chris! It's been quite a while. I doubt many people here remember you any more save for a few, myself included. I see by your photos on railpicky.net though that you still do quite a bit of railfanning!

Glad to see you back and hopefully we'll see you around a little more.
