I agree, there really aren't any tunnels on the line to to the DM&IR so there really isn't any reason to include the T in the model. The SDMs are neat engines. We've got a few of them on the EJ&E and I have seen a DM&IR SDM at Homewood that was not retired!
By the way, Merry Christmas Eve!
Noah, that beats the heck out of my Christmas cards! I ended up using a picture of a normal train and put obviously fake lights on it and a very fake gif-tree.
Still, I think people enjoyed it! Too bad I'm out of printer paper...
Merry Christmas to everyone!
And now I go off to figure out...where...everyone....went....o.O
Go here for my rail shots! http://www.railpictures.net/showphotos.php?userid=9296

Merry Christmas Everyone.
well i didnt get much for xmas since i spent alot at train fest. i did manage to get guitar hero 3 & a New London Bulldogs jacket. im prolly gonna go railfannin tomorrow if i can.
I got North American Railyards and a video camera.
BTW: I finally got some train pix to show you from my NYC trip.
I'm fascinated by Grand Central Terminal, especially the underground parts. I couldn't get any pix of the throat trackwork, (which is very cool, BTW) but I got one of the tunnel here: Here's an overhead view of the train we rode, taken from the ramp up to the lower level concourse.
And here's an exposure shot of the main floor, showing the moving people as blurred. To the left that's a TV crew or something, I think they were filming a documentary or something.
OT: I'm up to 1000 posts! I have too much free time.....
Merry Christmas!

Yes, my Christmas card does look a lot like Noah's, because I was at the same place at the same time!
