I had a watershed year to satisfy my railroad interests:
Rode the Denver & Rio Grande Ski Train from Denver through the Moffet Tunnel to Winterpark,CO
Rode the fabulous Gerogetown Loop
Visited the Altoona Memorial Railroader's Musem, the Colorado RR Museum in Golden and Horseshoe Curve
Visited restored stations in Denver, Kansas City and Cincinnati
Had an informal, personal tour of the Denver Light Rail System by an engineer
Wow! What a year!
Happy Railroading, Bob

I road on the Algoma Central on the all day tour to Agawa Canyon. The trip is 114 miles up and 114 miles back.
It seems a little too long. Most people were sleeping on the way back. The scenry is very good. The trip starts
in Sault Ste. Marie, Canada

I rode the Cass Scenic Railroad Whittaker train twice, and visited the US Army Transportation Musuem. I plan on going to Sugar Creek, OH and the Durbin and Greenbrier Railroad in Durbin, WV soon.

My first visit to the Illinois RR Museum during "Diesel Days". Was able to ride the Nebraska Zephyr and a home town favorite from the 60's - CNW Bi-levels that were the pride of the Peninsula 400. After that, a visit to the famous double main diamonds at Rochelle. It was a fantastic weekend with a group of fellow model RR club guys. Our overnight stay at DeKalb, IL was right on the UP mainline - so more train watching within feet of our motel room. A very memorable trip.
