RAILFAN PICS

  • Here are some pcitures from Saturday.

GN to BN to BNSF SD9 working a switch job by Allouez:

Union Pacific Train #118 (notice the bell on the short hood):

CN flying through, with two volunteers at the NSSR/LSRM at the helm:

BNSF coal doing 55 MPH at Boylston Wye:

The LSM 44 tonner switching a cut of cars out. Notice the Minneaplois and Northfield Southern car on the left:

The GN to BN to BNSF SD9 leaving Allouez:

Same CN train, notice the trailing unit, which has been to hell and back, wearing red, black, and white stripes mixed together with grey:

Yard power, another BNSF SD9 waiting their call to duty:

New BNSF MP15DC (which is being debated) and severely tagged GP30:

FINALLY, MY FAVORITE SHOT, Two BNSF coal trains waiting to get into Midwest Energy:

  • UP 003046 PROVISO IL 05 09 0607 L Arrive In-Transit MSSPR UP

    GSCX 007367 MASON CITY IA 05 09 0337 U Arrive In-Transit MCNKC UP

Looks like they were both taken off the train they formerly were on (MPRIT if northbound, MITPR if southbound) and put on different trains to go further south.

UP really doesn't have any trains using number symbols! I could honestly run a trace of all UP engines, and none would come up as being on a numbered train. CN does use number symbols, however (albeit with a letter prefix), and because UP uses CN trackage rights to get to Superior they might have to run under a CN symbol. Then again, CN's train Q118 is already an east/southbound intermodal, and I've seen photos of the aforementioned UP trackage rights trains using their own symbols.
  • Well, whatever you want to think, the train I.D. was #118.

And im curious how you think its legal to post all this info on the internet?
Because the only way to obtain it would be thorugh UP's employee tracking service, and it is against UP policy, not to mention probably illegal to post it on here.

  • O arent you all high and mighty.

THAT is the reason railroads are getting all paranoid. That information is supposed to only be available to RAILROAD PERSONAL AND SHOULD NOT BE FREELY POSTED ON THE INTERNET! ITS THE LAW!

And its actually funny you called me a cop, because over 80% of your posts are correcting someone.
It looks to me like you dont understand how peeved UP is about all this info being leaked. Maybe if you checked the forum once in a while you would find out.

Stick to ragging on people for pics that dont meet your standards.
    Stay out of my buisness.

  • Ok ok ok. Quit causing trouble. Max, you didnt really need to state that that was illegal, as we all enjoy using scans, and traces, so that probably wasnt the smartest by you.

Now, as for as John is concerned, all you have done since you have came here is try to prove people wrong, and act like your better. Yes, you do have very nice shots on railpictures, and you are respectful sometimes, but you always act like your better. I dont see how this thread called your name and made you post here, maybe you should grow up and quit sticking YOUR nose where it doesnt belong, because clearly, this had nothing to do with you.

    Wow, you sure told me.
And don't worry, your photos don't meet the toliet's standards. But, hey your a 'railroader' because your part of some group that owns a Geep 30 and bug a bunch of local employees. Watch guys, this dude really knows his stuff, I mean look at all this post the railroads must hire him to make sure that the people on trains.com forums are leaking any important information.

Yup, thats me the big railroader, you guys better all watch out. Just because I have more knowledge of railroad operations that you will ever have does not mean I know everything and I DO NOT know everything. Now go back to yelling at people becasue their pictures suck.
Oh and yes thats me, a member of a club that owns a GP30 and bugs local employee's, i mean, you must be right, your photo's are always the best, and your answer is always right, right?
Whats that..... YOUR NOT ALWAYS RIGHT!

Dude!!! Fisrt yes he does work for a railroad that owns a GP30, and about 7 other locomotives that operate. Second how can he be bugging a bunch of an employees when the operations are all volunteer. We have mentioned this multiple times that this is not a frieght railroad but a passenger line. He doesn't bother employees and in fact he can be on any locomotive he chooses to be on. He does not need permission to get on a locomotive.

Okay now Max. This has got to stop. If someone wants to post something, let them. Just leave it alone. This would not have happened if you had not posted that what that guy was saying above was illegal. You need to be cool like I am[:D]......Just kidding. Anyway you really need to loosen yourselves up or bergie is going to get to you. And I am not saying this is a bad thing. He keeps peace in the forum. So do the right thing and keep it cool otherwise I will start doing something about this topic.
