WC's SD45 fleet sent to the scrapper

  • Well, UPs SD90Mac-H's were retired, and many of the UP SD40-2s have been sold off to leasers and other railroads. UP still has tons and tons of them, but they arent the big news. OMG! UP Just Retired a SD40-2!!!!!!!!!1$(-=6531241-$*. Not too many people worry about this yet. And Max, UP didnt just buy ACe's, the ES44s are all over too. And UP needs power when every they can get it. They are short of EVERYTHING. Air hoses, radios, plus other stuff that many railroads arent in dire need of.

  • Remember Max, UP did NOT buy any SD70ACe's or ES44DC's.

There may well have been a typo at the rooster site. It does list the second number as 7426 but it could very well be 1796 if that was a valid WC SD45 rooster number. Those numbers stated they were exWC. [2c] As always ENJOY
  • Lord atmo: I Searched the CN site looking for 6620 and i couldnt find it

  • 20 bucks that they arent leased. UP wouldnt lease that many, and they probably wouldnt paint them, AND they wouldnt paint the heritage units on some lease unit!

  • Yes......... Those were returned on lease, and i DO KNOW HOW IT WORKS. But i garauntee its not called a "lease". What your talking about is not a true lease, as its UP's property. A real lease would be what CP is doing with the CEFX AC44's and SD90Macs.
