All-time fav for me is the Chessie System. I live in southern Ontario and there is a CSX branch line here and for a few years they had the "Trains Magazine All American Locomotive" GP-38 #2002 working here, I actually had a chance to ride in it!!! Very Cool!!!

I like names that have stood the test of time (mergers, bankruptcy, buyouts, etc.). Most belong to shortlines (ex: the Louisiana and North West--the company has been there since 1888, but the name I think is circa 1890 because of a defect in the charter belonging to the Louisiana North & South RR.) but you do have a couple of class Is with original names--Kansas City Southern and the yellow railroad.
I sure miss The Rock!!

CP because My grandfather and father both worked for CP.
Although I spent alot of time watching CN of BN trains when I was younger.
