Railroad videos

  • I must have, a couple a "Hundred or more",some for kids"I love toy trains",Plus other's and a couple of country & western musical's
  • I have about 15 videos in my collection, but I have not purchased a new one for several years. I just haven't seen any recently that have caught my attention. I have a difficult time buying videos from small outfits due to concerns over quality, but the high-quality producers like Pentrex seem to be concentrating on modern railroading and general-interest subjects which just don't cut it for me.

  • Why spend $20 - $40 on a railroad video??? My local library has an excellent collection of RR videos, and I can rent them (for free) for 3 days at a time. Also, why are RR videos so expensive when Hollywood movie videos can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $6-$10 each. I can buy 3-4 Hollywood movie videos for the price of one RR video.

  • Me again. About Pentrex-I have recently been buying many since they've had their sales, although the shipping cost is a killer, so I only buy if several can be had at once. Normally the prices of most videos have kept me from buying them. I even saw the most expensive Pentrex video-$19.95+shipping for an 8-minute video! Over $2 a minute! Of course, I won't buy it. I'm not rich. I must say that watching these videos is wonderful. I also record PBS's Tracks Ahead and special train shows for added entertainment. One more ?-many say DVD is much better. Does anybody have anything to say to describe that?
