Hunters only!

  • Well I went rabbit hunting last weekend and got two nice size squerrils (spelling) and three huge swap rabbits and a cotton tail. The cotton tail was real good, the squerril (spelling) and the swap rabbits are now in the freezer, one of each will be consumed this weekend when I go camping/hunting.
  • Well I caught me some SP tunnel motors, a rare Olymic Torch SD40-2, a rare Cotton Belt GP60, a C&NW patch job SD40, a D&RGW tunnel motor, A CN SD70...oops, I keep fogetting this is about animals...LOL [:D][:I][8D][:)][:P][;)][(-D]

The difference is that the Super Bowl is a national event that is short lived. Any topics are on it are also short lived and fade away. You're proposing to start a permanent topic like the coffee shop that goes on and on. This is a forum about trains and while transitory off topic threads can be occasionally tolerated, permanent ones should not be otherwise the forum gets cluttered up - after all if you have hunting, then someone else will have hot rods, another airplanes, another stamp collecting, etc - pretty soon you can't find the train threads. None of these topics are bad in and of themselves, just out of place here. I suggest you do a Google search on hunting forums or find a group at Yahoo.
    Enjoy

If you're having fun, you're doing it the right way.
  • Well football, which I detest, is just as off topic as this, am I wrong?
  • The thing is alstom, the proper place to discuss things like this is the Teen Railfan PLace or Coffee Shop.
    BTW, I shoot a 30 ot 30.

  • THANK YOU, CSX ENGINEER!!!!! I'm adding you to my list of friends!
  • Enough from the topic patroll. You don't like it don't read it. It's that simple.

While I don't hunt to kill, I do hunt trains with my Canon. And sometimes I take along a few guns to target shoot in between trains. It's a good combination. Shoot a couple trains...shoot a couple cans....empty a couple cans...That's how I roll.[8D]
  • TRAINS.COM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or can you kill a SD70Mac w/ a 22 or 9 guage.??? i love hunting but i just don' t think is the right pace to talk about it, it's not the out door channel website....................... I hunted a deer with NW-5 at 15m.p.h. with the headlights on and the horn blowing.............what a allusive creature! NO OFFENCE MENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes it might be trains.com..but thier is MORE to life then just TRAINS..... like i said befor... dont like the topic..dont read it... some people..and im not meaning you in proticuler....... want this to be 24 hours of trains 100% of the time...and love to jump on "off topic" things... but i find it funny...they are willing to keep a tread going with their objections to the topic material...which is in fact OFF TOPIC ALSO...so i look at it as a hipocroacy... its ok for the hard cores to complain about something being off topic... which in turn the complaining is off topic..... little food for thought
