Please don't let viewers play with the camera direction, we all know what the last cam was like. If we can't get sound (Great idea), maybe trackside signal indications as an insert or option...

Well, I guess my thunder has been stolen. So I'll second the idea on the larger screen, radio traffic, and signal indications. My question is will the scanner traffic be like having sound, requiring a larger bandwidth, or is there something that can be done by Trains.com where it won't mess anything up for the City of Rochelle? I think the camera has been great, especially since I can't get to Rochelle that often. Also, has Trains thought about adding webcams to other locations?

I am thankful that we have what we have, I normally sit here at night and watch it, and I can look back at some of what went through during the day. While yes some of the other things would be nice, why ask for more and possibly take a risk of losing what we have? Lets enjoy what we do have.

I like the Rochelle webcam, fixed though it is. Sound would be nice, or some other way to alert of an approaching train. Of the webcams Iv'e seen, I like the Rochelle ops the best. That string of utility poles down the BN stretch looks temporary, the last visit I made I didn't see guy wires, and one is too close to the UP tracks to be permanent. I like when the unit coal trains go buy and the train looks like it stops and backs up! I consider the 2 or 3 second delay training for 3rd PlanIt's Demo! (TrackPlanning.Com)Enjoy Your Hobby!
