HOW DID CN GET IT!! Canadian Pacific is a division of the Soo Line Corp.

I hope that was a joke!

So I got that film back, the one with the pictures in Cranbrook..IT WAS OVEREXPOSED!!! Just as I feared from one minute after I took the pictures..totally blasted out..on the plus side, I now know that 15-20 seconds is the correct timing for MRR pics!
And now I'm sitting, waiting on ANOTHER roll of film..Argh, there's ALWAYS one that I'm waiting for!
On the plus side, I've taken about 50 pictures of trains in the past week, so I'm bound to have one or two good ones..I'm looking forward to one that I took yesterday, fully lit with a great mountain backdrop!

    Joke?

  • And now I'm waiting on TWO rolls of film, I just finished off ANOTHER one..me mum says I'm cut off for a while! I finished this roll with 15 MRR pics, the last three of which were in such perfect light that I handheld them @ 1/30th of a second and f11! The light that shined in through the basement window was so perfect!
And now back to my work..I may be on spring break, but I've got a photo album to fill with pictures taken since early July!

Ok, CP uses the term SOO for its freight cars, and does buisness this way. Check the ICC.

  • Well, maybe out east it does it like that, but over here the only cars marked SOO are the grainers from the 90s..and nowhere on their website is there a mention of the SOO line in any way, shape or form..

FERROMEX 4526 a AC4400W (no C) has a cab like a C40-8W and a horn like a UP horn. I got pics on a regular camera I tried to take alot beacuse of well its a mexican engine in Georgia. Its in Atlanta or somewhere out west trying to get back to its tracks in the southwest. well off to school for the last time until April 10.

  • Not just out east, In Minnesota they do that too Matt. Down here thats what most people go by is SOO Line. There is more SOO Line down here then probably anywhere in the country.

Well the layout was quite nice! He has roads in and trees and a bunch of grass. 2 industries, and he has "real" switches. As in the ones you twist. Ran my 2 P2K SD45's, and wow are they nice runners. THe Athearn GP38-2 ran well with the proto's also, so thats an added bonus. My SOO SD60 had a little problem, but ran it later just fine. No railfanning today, as we got a boring @$$ consist down here. Plus its raining. Seeya,

  • Not RS-27s.. C-424s! RS-27s are shorter and have that fan at the back, to name some differences.
